The main purpose of this list is to serve as the focus for individuals and organizations with interest or involvement in health informatics with an emphasis on dental informatics. It also serves as a means of communication with other health care and informatics specialties to better improve all health care applications. Its emphasis is on the sharing of expertise and experiences in the use of dental information systems, computer technology, and communications to improve patient care, research, and education. The emphasis is on the integrated use of information systems, information technology, and telecommunications to improve dental education, patient care, and research.
